Idea 5: Group-Aware

"Group-aware" refers to a subset of Sakai tools. This is a new concept for many of us — one that is very powerful.

Group-aware tools allow Instructor and Organizer roles to streamline communications with and selectively release information to multiple groups of people within a single site. Groups can have their own sets of private collaboration tools to self-organize as they wish.

Group-awareness functionality is associated with:

1. manually created Groups
2. Sections that tend to be created automatically from ConnectCarolina.
